teach all over the world
A TEFL certificate is your passport to the world. Our graduates teach all over the world, from Asia to Europe to South America and everywhere in between.
We have graduates in Argentina, Austria, Bangladesh, Chile, China, Colombia, The Czech Republic, France, Germany, Honduras, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Lesotho, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam, to name a few.
You do not need to speak the local language to teach English!
The fastest growing region in TEFL right now is Asia. Asia in general offers endless opportunity, beautiful scenery, ancient sights, and a large population with a strong focus on education.
Salaries are generally high throughout Asia, but a university degree is usually required for most countries. One of the most popular TEFL giants is South Korea - get free flights, free housing, and save 500-1000 USD per month on top of that. We work with a special recruiter for the popular government teaching program, EPIK. There are also numerous private schools (Hagwons) offering high salaries.
You may also enjoy teaching in China, where there's tons of opportunity and a fairly low cost of living. We work with ECHO English, where we'll able to offer a 650 USD signing bonus for all TLH graduates. You can save up to 1,200 USD per month working in China. Salaries are not as high in Vietnam and Thailand, but they make up for it in low cost of living, spectacular sights, beaches, delicious food, and friendly people. We work with Apollo in Vietnam, who assist with visas and accommodation and have hired many of our graduates.
Taiwan is also rising in popularity, thanks to great salaries, amazing scenery and a solid expat community. Japan is known for its prestigious JET program and offers a consistently excellent expat experience. Beaches, mountains, marvelous food and culture, and a foreigner-friendly attitude make it a top contender.
Beyond Asia, our graduates have found success in South America too. With a TEFL certificate and a degree, you can find work throughout the continent. If you want to practice your Spanish and get a chance to see breathtaking sights like Machu Picchu in Peru, the salt flats in Bolivia, Easter Island in Chile and The Iguazu Falls in Argentina and Brazil, South America is a great option! There isn't as much opportunity to save as in Asia, but it's definitely the place for adventure.
Additionally, our alumni teach in many other European countries beyond the Czech Republic. Western Europe can be tricky for non-EU citizens, but many countries like Spain and Germany are still possible with a special visa. Eastern Europe and Russia are generally easier to get legal to work. You can’t beat Europe for ease of travel to other countries, food, sightseeing, history, culture, and nightlife.
