Jake Young
TRAINER
Jake came to Prague in 2011 and got certified by TLH to teach English. His plan was to stay for one year, but one year quickly turned into nine. Jake is now a course observer for TLH and runs his own private teaching practice in Prague specializing in conversation lessons. He also got certified in Czech language by the Charles University Institute for Language in Prague in 2015.
A lot of Jake’s time is now dedicated to writing lesson materials at “Fluentize”, an online resource he created in 2018 that provides modern and engaging video-based ESL lesson plans for English language teachers.
When Jake’s not nerding out on language-related things, he likes to hang with friends, go to concerts, travel, and tries to look cool with his skateboard at Letna park in Prague.
