Nica attended Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She studied psychology, including coursework in psycholinguistics, and taught English in Italy over the summer. Wanderlust drew her to Prague in 2012. Immediately, she fell in love with the culture, architecture, and beer of Prague. You will see a lot of Nica at TLH; she is the Orientation Coordinator, a trainer, an observer, and a visa assistant. She teaches private English lessons on the side as well. Nica has also worked as a tour guide in Prague, and she is passionate and knowledgeable about the city, its history, and its quirky nightlife. She’s excited to welcome you to the Golden City and help you have an amazing experience. But be warned! You may find yourself loving this city so much, you’ll never want to leave–as Kafka said, “Prague never lets you go… this dear little mother has sharp claws.”
When not teaching, Nica enjoys finding all the castles, breweries, and beautiful hikes the Czech Republic has to offer. If you have any questions about the orientation program or about the visa process, please contact Nica at firstname.lastname@example.org. She is also happy to help with any questions about preparing to live abroad and Prague itself.
