ANDREW HAS TAUGHT IN PRAGUE

When I made the decision to move to Europe and try my hand at TEFL I had a lot of options, but I picked Prague and The Language House pretty quickly and I’m glad I did. This has been a great experience for me and I don’t doubt that I’m a better person for it.

From the start everyone at TLH did so much to make sure my fellow students and I had everything we needed to be successful, including temporary housing, assistance finding permanent housing, help with the visa process, and of course a top notch education. One important thing you should know about TLH is that it is not a mill; you are expected to meet a certain standard and people do fail. That’s exactly what I wanted, one of the reasons I chose this program, and one of the many reasons I am very happy with my choice.

Here are some of the things my association with The Language House has given and continues to give me:
An enormous alumni community in Prague and around the world.
A constant stream of new friends and acquaintances.
A constant stream of job opportunities and offers.
A solid foundation on which to be a teacher.
Temporary housing during the course.
My first permanent residence in Prague.
Assistance with obtaining a visa and a trade license.

(A sort of side note about the alumni community; I was talking to another American expat here in Prague who went through a different TEFL course in the city, and she said if she had to do it all over again she would go through TLH, because of the alumni network. I can’t say no other course provides this benefit, but I don’t know of any that do. We’re a family.)

Deciding to enroll in the TEFL course at The Language House in Prague was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The staff, students, and alumi of TLH are an amazing group of people and I’m lucky to know them and to be one of them.
